Obituary of Harrison Knox Macaulay Bateman
Harrison Knox Macaulay Bateman, at 33 years of age, of Queensville, Ontario, passed away at Mont Tremblant, Quebec, while participating in a 12.6 km obstacle course race on Sunday, June 16, 2024.
He was born in Toronto, Ontario, on Wednesday, January 30, 1991. He was the cherished son of Chris and Reg Bateman of Queensville. He attended Queensville Public School, Newmarket & District Christian Academy, Huron Heights Secondary School, Wilfrid Laurier University and Tyndale University before joining SWB Insurance Brokers. Harrison was an affectionate, dedicated and hardworking man who always put the needs of others ahead of his own. He had a sense of humour and positive attitude from a very young age and was so full of life, love and happiness. His family and friends are devastated by this loss.
Harrison is survived by his devoted parents, Chris and Reg, his loving sisters Courtney (Rob) Elliott and Aynsley Bateman and brother and best friend of Spencer (Miga) Bateman. He was the doting “Favourite Uncle” of his five nieces, Emma, Charlotte, Mackenzie, Eloise and Aurora.
Visitation will be held at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford, Ontario, on Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday, June 28, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Allan MacLeod officiating. Interment will follow at Queensville Cemetery.
