The passing of Teta Jerca is an unimaginable loss, not only for her family but for her Church as a community and all of us who had the privilege of knowing her and feel her desire that as a community we are all one. She left quietly just as she lived, but her impact was powerful. She was a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother not only to her biological kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids but also to all that life put on her path. She would not only empathize with the needs of others but would help them quietly without recognition. In terms of her contribution to her Church communities she not only belonged to, but would first build them, locally and globally, allowed her to be called a "Mother in Israel".
