Obituary of James Hammond

James peacefully passed away at Southlake Residential Care Village, Newmarket on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 88 years of age.

Beloved husband of late Rosalie Hammond (nee Rose). Loving dad of Stacey Hughes (Steve Quinn), Sandra (Mark) MacDougall, Brenda Hammond (Dan Hopkins) and Darren (Kirsten) Hammond. Proud grandpa of Matthew (Melina), Andrew, James (Katie); Michael, David (Caitlin); Summer, Cole and Olivia. Cherished great grandpa of Christopher, Nicholas, Macy, Layla, Mya, Wade and Amelia. Dear brother of late William, late Jean, Velma, Hughie, late Kenneth and Beverly. James will also be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 from 6-8 p.m.  Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 1 p.m.

In James’ memory, donations may be made to the OSPCA or to The Alzheimer Society.
