I worked with Helen at the East Gwillimbury Public Library in the years before we both retired, where she was always a rock, so reliable and willing. She loved her role doing interlibrary loan, and would go to great lengths to satisfy a patron's request. She was funny and kind, and we all knew what a rock she was for her family as well. The library retirees missed her when she moved away, and it was so sad to hear she was no longer with us. One of her sayings has become a standard in my family, "And away we go, like a herd of turtles!", always prefaced by, "as Helen would say..."
Sincere condolences to the family, who she loved so much.

I worked with Helen for over 30 years at EGPL. She was a joy to work with, down to earth with a fun sense of humour. I was so saddened to hear of her passing. My husband , Andy, joins me in sending our sincere condolences to Helen's entire family and many friends. Rest in peace my friend.

Helen worked at the East Gwillimbury Public Library for 35 years, retiring in March of 2017. Helen oversaw the Library's new material, ensuring books were on the shelf and ready to be checked out by community members. She also oversaw the Library's interlibrary loan program, sending books across the province for so many to enjoy. Helen was recognized for her years of community service by the East Gwillimbury Council on April 4, 2017. Helen was hardworking, cherished by her team, and a dedicated grandmother.
The Library was saddened to hear of her passing and send our sincere condolences to the family. The Library will add Helen's name to the Friends of the East Gwillimbury Library Holland Landing Quilt in her memory.

My Grandmother was such a wonderful and caring woman. I will always remember her saying "yes honey" when i needed something, always ready to do whatever she could to make her grandchildren happy. She taught me so many things and i will cherish her memory for ever. We all miss you so much... I love you Grandma ❤
