To Jean’s family: We are holding you all in our prayers, asking for comfort and strength as you grieve Jean’s absence here on earth. Our comfort is that she is now forever with her Lord and Saviour, free from pain and discomfort. We send our Love, cousin Joan Schaafsma and Peter I have many wonderful childhood memories of a very dear cousin and friend as we lived in homes side by side. We played creatively, using empty crates to play”house”, “restaurant”, or “office”. We decorated bikes to have neighborhood bike parades. As young teens we worked on our fathers’ vegetable farms, weeding long rows of onions, thinning lettuce, bunching radishes. Time flew because we had fun telling stories and jokes and singing camp songs! Jean and I were privileged to travel to Europe the summer after graduation from high school. Jean was a quiet but fun-loving companion. Now forever at peace.
