Obituary of Detje "Detty" Visser Smit

Detty peacefully passed away with family at her side at Hospice Simcoe, Barrie on Wednesday, January 18, 2023. Detty Visser Smit (nee Simpa) of Barrie and formerly of Ansnorvedlt at 97 years of age.

Beloved wife of late Taeke Visser and late Jimme Smit. Loving mother of Peter (Faye) Visser, late Mike Visser, Tena (Terry) Griffin, Sam (Susanne) Visser, late Harold (Darlene) Visser and Ed (Michelle) Visser. Dear stepmother of Rommy (Bert) Schussler, Neel (Freek) Boersma and Theo (Geurie) Smit. Proud Beppe of 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, 9 step grandchildren, 6 step great grandchildren and predeceased by her granddaughter Lisa.

Visitation will be held at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Road, Bradford on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 3-5 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Covenant Christian Reformed Church, 101 Ardagh Road, Barrie on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at 11 a.m.
