Dear Carol and Leslie sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. Dora and I taught together at Huron Heights and later we reconnected as members of Maple Leaf Probus Club. We both enjoyed the probus golf and walking groups. She was a wonderful caring person. I know you will have many happy memories to help you through these difficult days.

Carol and Leslie and family: our deepest sympathy to all. Doris was an amazing, kind person. I know my Mom (Helen Peevers, deceased) had many a great golf game with Doris and they always enjoyed each other’s company. My son Phil also spent a few hours now and then on the golf range or the course with the ladies. She will be missed and remembered. All the best. Ann Radis and Phil Radis and family

I have known Dora for about 25 years. We first met when she was one of the founding members of The Moraine Guild. Later, I had the privilege of getting to know her through the Monday sewing group. Dora was always looking for new ideas for quilting. One Monday afternoon Dora exited Melba's bathroom admiring a piece of toilet paper. Well, that started a run on joke. Anywhere I travelled I would bring back a piece of toilet paper with a new design. Dora got a big kick out of this. The other fun memory I have of Dora is. She wasn't one for hugs, even before Covid. So we would shake hands. The last gathering of the Monday sewing group that I attended before I moved to Collingwood, I did get a beautiful hug from Dora. She was a beautiful person and will be sorely missed
