So very sorry to hear of your loss. Trudy, my son Johnathan and I entertained with the Newtones for a time and she was an awesome inspiration to us both. My husband and I also worked with Trudy to produce some of the backdrops and props for the shows. We are sure that she will be missed as she was such a warm and caring person.

My sincere condolences to the entire Kennedy clan. Your Matriarch was a beautiful soul; warm, loving, creative, and caring. I was fortunate to have known her, loved her, and felt her love in return. I am grateful for that. May her long and fruitful life, so full of memories, comfort you and yours at this time.

To Trudie's family:
I have many fond memories during my tenure as a teacher (now retired) with the TDSB, and most were as a direct result of Trudie and I working together as a team. Trudie was very talented, artistic and musical, patient, kind and generous. Most of all, she had such a giving heart and personality that she had an amazing impact and influence on the kindergarten children we taught.
Even after Trudie retired, we kept in touch and I feel truly blessed that my children, Grant and Ming, their spouses and children got to know her. My daughter, Ming, and her husband Sam, and children drove me up to Bradford as often as we could, so we could visit. We would share an enjoyable time with a meal (always at Swiss Chalet!). This was often followed by a lovely visit with afternoon tea at the house which she and her late husband Doug, built on weekends and through the summer. We would depart but looked forward to the next visit. The pictures my grandkids, Evan and Caitlyn, drew for her, when they were little, she would stick them on her fridge and showed them to us every time we visited.
Trudie was not just a colleague; she was my good friend and I will miss her dearly. We all miss her very much. However, Heaven has gained a Saint!
Love and blessings from Loretta Leung

What to say? The world has lost a beautiful soul in Aunt Trudie. I have nothing but the fondest memories of backyard birthday parties, family sing alongs (there was always music!) and the softest, most gentle words. She was kind, compassionate and I loved her very much. I will miss you Aunt Trudie ❤️ have a beautiful journey.

To Trudie's Family:
Barry remembers Trudie as a very sweet and kind girl and always enjoyed visiting the family at 30 Lynde Ave. in the west end of Toronto when Trudie was Alverna or Verna Powell. We both remember visiting Trudie and Doug in their Bradford home where they always made everyone feel welcome. We are sorry to hear of her passing but trust many happy memories of years gone by will sustain you.

To my workmate Tracie Kennedy and all the Kennedy family. So sorry to hear of the passing of your family matriarch. While I never met Trudie, Tracie spoke so fondly of her.

Dear Rae, Tracie, Tod, Scott, Sharyn, Meredith, Bill and Joan, and all of Trudie's family.
Paul and I are so sorry for your loss. Trudie was always such a pleasure to be around. She had a happy manner and outlook on life, which was to be admired.Together with Doug, she made a good home for her children and raised them well. I know you will all miss her greatly.
Although Paul is Trudie's cousin, and I simply married into the extended Truscott family, I grew up on Lawlor Ave, too. Of course, I didn't know her then, as we had no connection, and our houses were quite a distance apart. However, I will always remember going back to Lawlor later on for Trudie's famous Christmas cookie exchange parties. She was so welcoming to me as a newcomer to the family.
Later on, it was lovely to visit Doug and Trudie at their dream home, Evergreen, and to know they enjoyed so many great years there..
May the love of family and your happy memories help to sustain you at this time of sorrow.
With love, Paul and Wendy Truscott

Trudie was a one of a kind loving, generous person and a neighbour who generously gave a baby shower some 36 years ago when my daughter Shannon was born. Truly a surprise. What a remarkable woman Trudie was. Always remembered with great fondness.
