Fixture of my childhood, and most treasured memory; a knock on his door found the man with the perennial smile, and indomitable spirit. Happiest over a fire on Sabbath afternoons, tending sizzling FriPat and Veggie Links for us in Earl Rowe Provincial Park. How the wisp of charcoal smoke today, brings his beaming face to life. The gentle giant who humored this inquisitive boy, kept him company; through marathons of MacGyver, and Michael Knight. As we'd drop next door, unexpectedly; happily shared his cheezies, and stash of Sprite. Picnics, campouts, Sabbath socials; summer days by the shore. We were the Finchurst clan inseparable, for more than 40 years. Thank you for your generosity, and your joy. Your arms of strength in peace and hardship; and fellowship with the Lord. Now go forth dear Ray, the Father calls you; your work is done, receive your just reward. Troy Russell

I am so sorry to learn of Rays death, I considered him a friend and had great respect for him. He was hard working ,honest and a great father.
