Shirley Ann was born in Windsor, Ontario and moved to the Holland Marsh as a very young child with her three Sisters. She enjoyed country music, played guitar and piano, as well as being a very capable yoddler, entertaining many of us and strangers as well. As a teenager she liked working with her parents on their egg laying chicken farm in the Holland Marsh. She worked and became very knowledgeable of vegetable farming, seeding, planting and harvesting. She later took up a career as a “Homemaker” in Toronto helping persons in need and terminally ill. She loved travelling and visited her parents homeland, the Netherlands, as well as places in North America.
Special thanks to all the Nurses, PSWs and Caregivers at both Bloomington Cove and especially Bradford Valley Care Community.
