Ammo Sami was a very special person. When I wa younger I knew him through the numerous stories my mom and dad would relate to us. He was the mysterious ammo until I began to personally know him when he immigrated to Canada. He instantly became my sweet humble ammo who was kind and generous. He was a no frills person honest to the core and pragmatic. I loved him dearly and will miss him.

As friends of Salwa, we met your dad a couple of times and were impressed by his warmth and friendliness, and his delicious carrot cake too! We have seen Salwa take pictures of pretty bottles in apothecary windows because they remind her of her dad and have enjoyed the stories and family photos she has shared over the years. Our deepest sympathies, love Rob & Laura

Khalo Sami was a wonderful human being. I always enjoyed his jovial attitude and big laugh. Going back in time, I can easily reflect on many fond memories of his visits to shafa-Amr at teta Salma and sido Ameen’s house. He always made me feel I could do more..always practical and motivational. He will be greatly missed.

I remember when Sami had the donut shop in the old beer store plaza in Bradford. His whole family worked there. They were a wonderful family, and it was always a pleasure to speak to Sami.

Khalo Sami.. the caring generous man. I remember his new Volkswagen K70 parking downstairs in the garage when he visited Haifa.. I remember him smiling playing sheish-beish.. I remember him in the always busy Pharmacy in Nazareth.. I remember staying over at his home with aunt Leila and Samir, Munir and Salwa in Nazareth. I met him in the bakery in 1992 in Canada. Unfortunately, this was the last time I met him in person, but I still hold precious memories of my khalo Sami. Rest in peace khalo..

I remember khalo Sami's voice when he laughs. He laughed often with us children, in Haifa, ShefaAmer and Nazareth. I can see him behind the counter in his pharmacy on the central square in Nazareth with a big glass and the smell of powdered medicine being made by hand in the 60s. His smile always extended to his eyes when he played backgammon. How he held his keys and played with them while waiting for the family to say 15 minutes to say goodbye. Uncle Sami will always be a part of our hearts, minds and our family <3
