To Michelle's closest family & friends, I am so sad to hear of your loss. Michelle and I met in 2018 at a 3 Day Training Workshop in Newmarket. As everyone has mentioned on this Tribute Wall, Michelle was incredibly empathetic and kind to everyone. Whether you were a client or a co-worker you could feel her warmth and genuine heart.
She also had a great sense of humour and during our time in that workshop we shared many laughs. She also adored her family and often spoke about them. She will be greatly missed by everyone at MCCSS, she has clearly left her mark and when we think of Michelle we will be reminded of her kind, beautiful soul.
May she rest in peace.

I worked with Michelle over the last few years in my role with the government and most recently had a meeting with her on August 16th, 2021. What struck me every time we talked was her overwhelming sense of empathy for the clients we serve. She was the quintessential public servant; warm, selfless, and willing to go the extra mile. I am pleased to have called her a colleague and feel deep sadness at her passing. At this time, I would like to turn my thoughts to Michelle's immediate family and close friends. I pray that as each day passes, you are comforted by the love of others and the memories of Michelle. A true human treasure.

I had the incredible fortune of working very closely with Michelle at MCCSS and during that time I was always impressed with her knowledge and commitment. What impressed me even more though was her love for her family. We often chatted about her family life and weekend plans and we shared that love of family, and I’ll always think fondly of that and our time together. My deepest condolences to Michelle’s family and friends, today and always.

I wish that I could have been there for you today, Uncle Al, AJ, and Abby. I am so sorry that you had to go through this pain. Aunt Michelle will always hold a special place in my heat as someone who always showed a genuine interest in those around her. She was an amazing, kind-hearted person and I am thankful to have had her as an Aunt. She was taken far too soon. I will be thinking of you all over the coming days.

I worked with Michelle at the Operational Improvement Unit at MCCSS. Recently, Michelle and I got to know one another much better as we collaborated on a project. We shared the same vision and spoke the same language on a number of different matters.
Michelle was a grounded and realistic person who’s compassion was ever present. So much so that it was contagious. She mastered the skill of reframing and used it to ensure all sides of an issue could be considered. She always peppered her approach with meeting an individual where they were at but also considering the impact of service delivery on the front line workers.
Michelle you have been taken too soon. I was inspired by your perspective and drive as we spoke about possibilities and needs of local office staff.
Michelle talked to me about her children and how proud she was of them. She was excited to see what they would do in the next chapters of their lives.
Michelle, thank you for all the lessons that you taught us. I am extremely grateful that our paths crossed. I wish there was more time.
My deepest heart felt condolences to Michelle’s family and friends. We have lost an amazing soul. She was simply the salt of the earth. Our team misses you deeply. May you Rest In Peace.

I had the privilege to work with Michelle at the Ministry of Children Community and Social Services, Ontario Public Service.
Her knowledge and insight was remarkable, but it was minimal when compared to her compassion.
Michelle made recommendations to help our clients navigate the complexity of government programs; She also supported staff who were responsible for accommodating complex needs.
She was a phenomenal person.
I only met Michelle in 2019 - but we worked (virtually) together throughout the pandemic.
Every conversation included much needed humor.
We shared pandemic challenges - and things we will do once things return to normal.
We talked about the joys of home offices.
We talked about dogs. And cats.
Haircuts and colour.
And family.
She was so proud of her family.
She beamed at their mention.
My heart aches when I think about the loss of Michelle.
My deepest sympathy and condolences to Michelle's family and friends.

Michelle left us too soon. She was a bright light and a warm comforting soul in our office at MCSS.
Our friendship was valued and appreciated so much. She helped me through the tough route of accommodations for the disabled for myself and our vulnerable clients.
She has left such a high standard of compassion and fairness who loved her work. She took pride and joy and full of love for her family. She was dedicated in her family and in everything she set her heart on.
She is missed and loved by many souls she touched and some she never met in person through her compassion for her charities.
She will be the brightest star in the sky and I take some comfort in that as well as carry beautiful memories of a beautiful soul I was blessed to have known.
Prayers and hugs to Michelle's family and friends.
