Obituary of James Geertsema

Peacefully passed away at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, June 24, 2014. James Geertsema of Belle Ewart at 78 years of age. Beloved husband of Effie (nee Janse) for 55 years. Loving dad of Jack (Anne), Frank (Judy), Harriet (Sam), Don (Lee) and Rick (Mary Ann). Proud grandpa of Meghan, James, Jack, Rebecca; Jocelynn, Juliana, Ken, Corey; Jason, Harriet, Nicole ("Austen"); Justin, Zachary; Alexa and Erika. James will be fondly remembered by his siblings and their families. Friends may call at SKWARCHUK FUNERAL HOME, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford (1-800-209-4803) for visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. John's Presbyterian Church, 2940 10th Sideroad, Bradford on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 12 noon. In James' memory, donations may be made to Presbyterian World Service & Development (PWS&D) for their Children's Programs or World Renew.
