Obituary of Leslie Edward Cummins

Peacefully, at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket on Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at the age of 90.  Born in London, England on November 19, 1923; R.A.F. veteran of the Second World War. Les leaves behind Rosemary, his beloved wife of 68 years; his daughters Lyn and Rosalie (Michel); his grandchildren Joseph (Anna Dung), and Dana, and their father Michael Franzgrote. Les was predeceased by his treasured infant grandson, Sammy, and by Lyn�s husband Edward Shannon. Our father and grandfather was devoted to his family, for which we will always be grateful. We will always miss his love and support, but we have a wealth of warm memories of a long life, well lived, to console us. The family would like to thank Dr. Gail Firestone and staff for their support, and also the staff at Southlake for the gentle care they gave Les in his last days. The family is also grateful to Larry and Kelly for their kind help during a difficult time. Friends may gather at the Mt. Albert United Church, 41 Alice St., Mt. Albert for a memorial visitation on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 from 1 p.m. until the time of a memorial service at 1:30 p.m. In Les' memory, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
