Obituary of Rhoda Ewen

Rhoda went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 13, 2011.   Rhoda (nee Thaxter) of Mt. Albert, peacefully passed at Bon Air Nursing Home, Cannington in her 93rd year.  Beloved wife of the late Harvey Ewen.  Loving mother of Joan Kernohan (Arthur), Margaret Weddel (Roy), Audrey Twinem and Elinore Powell (Arthur).  Rhoda will be lovingly remembered by her 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.  Also survived by her sister Kathleen Wilson and sister-in-law Marion Ewen.   Predeceased by her sisters Dora Reeve, Pearl Jarvis, Marie Thaxter, and brothers Rev. Austin Thaxter, Howard Thaxter, and grandson Danny Powell.  Rhoda will also be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.  Friends may call at SKWARCHUK FUNERAL HOME, 19153 Centre St., Mt. Albert (1-800-209-4803) for visitation on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Funeral service will be held at the Holt Free Methodist Church, 19198 McCowan Rd., Mt. Albert on Monday, July 18, 2011 at 11 a.m.  Interment Uxbridge Cemetery.  In Rhoda�s memory, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
