Obituary of Louis Bernard Joseph John Moriarty
On Friday, February 8th, 2013, in his 88th year, Lou Moriarty passed away peacefully in his sleep at Roberta Place in Barrie, Ontario. Lou was born in West Gwillimbury on August 27th, 1925 to the late Norbert and the late Gertrude Moriarty. Devoted husband of 64 years to H. Grace Moriarty (nee Kell) who will forever miss him. An avid outdoorsman, Lou was known for his sense of humour, his love of reading and history, and his fondness for all sorts of animals. A determined and hardworking man, Lou built a good life for his family and was a loyal friend to many. He will always be remembered for his talents as a storyteller � no one told a story quite like Lou. Dearly loved and missed by his three daughters, Marilou (Bill Mason), Janine (Ted Long), and Kelly Moriarty. �Bop Bop�, as he was known, will be cherished with love and affection by his seven grandchildren, Derek Bell (Barbara), David Bell (Stephanie), Bryan Howcroft (Christie), Brett Mason (Tegan Feetham), Samantha Dawson (Jack), Scott Howcroft (Sean Hale), Ryan Mason (Ashley Scully), and his nine great-grandchildren, Ethan, William, Erica, Daniel, Jacob, Tye, Lily, Ava Grace, and the late Mya.
