Obituary of Evelyn Anne Ballard

Evelyn passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Sunday, October 28, 2012. She was born in Armley, Saskatchewan to Fred and Annie Berry. She grew up on the family farm with her cherished four sisters who remained her best friends all their lives. While helping her father on the farm she developed her life long love of nature, her knowledge and enjoyment of birds was endless and brought her much joy. She was fond of young people who often sought her motherly advice, sometimes receiving a helping hand and always a hug. She was predeceased by her beloved husband W.R. (Bob) Ballard and her cherished sisters Lorna, Joan, Eunice and Mabel. She is survived by her loving son Grant (Diana), sister-in-law Emily Griffiths, stepchildren Robert, David (Sandy) and Susan. She will be sadly missed by all of her step grandchildren and great grandchildren. As her sisters passed she further drew in her much loved nieces and nephews and �surrogate grandchildren� who will forever miss their adored Auntie Ev. She also leaves behind her beloved �Girl Friday� Marcia and her husband Henry. Special thanks to Jerome and all her caregivers.
